Right to Engage in Union Activity. The Union President or his/her designee and/or Field Representative who shall report his/her presence to the Superintendent or Superintendent Designee shall be permitted to appear on work sites during working hours as Union Representative for the purpose of determining whether there is compliance with the Agreement, or to investigate and/or resolve Grievances provided that they shall not disrupt or interfere with work performance.

Right to Engage in Union Activity. The Union President, Vice-President, other OAPSE officers, and the OAPSE Field Representative shall be permitted to appear on work sites during working hours for the purpose of determining whether there is compliance with the negotiated agreement, or to investigate and/or resolve Grievances, provided that they shall not meet with any employee while he/she is on work time and shall not disrupt or interfere with work performance of any employee. Representatives will check in at the main office and at the appropriate school building office before engaging in any such activities.
Right to Engage in Union Activity. The Union President or Vice President shall be permitted to appear on work sites during working hours as Union Representative for the purpose of determining whether there is compliance with the Agreement, or to investigate and/or resolve grievances with approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee and provided that he/she shall not disrupt or interfere with work performance. The OAPSE Field Representative shall also be permitted to appear on work sites during working hours as Union Representative for the purpose of determining whether there is compliance with the Agreement, or to investigate and/or resolve grievances provided that they shall not disrupt or interfere with work performance. The Union will attempt to cause the least amount of disruption to work being performed and student education while performing these duties.

  • Union Activity Each employee shall have the right to join and while off work or on official release time, assist the Union freely, without fear of penalty or reprisal, and the Employer shall assure that each employee shall be protected in the exercise of such right.

  • No Discrimination for Union Activity The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practised with respect to any employee for reason of membership or activity in the Union.

  • Time Off for Union Activities A. Conventions and Conferences Union-designated employees may be allowed time off without pay to attend union-sponsored conventions or conferences. Approval for the time off must be granted in advance of the absence and in accordance with the Employer’s leave policies. Approval will not be granted if the absence interferes with the Employer’s ability to provide coverage during the requested time off or the operating needs of the agency cannot be met.

  • Outside Activity A. Although an employee may, in accordance with Article 19, Conflict of Interest/Outside Activity, engage in outside activity, including employment, pursuant to a consulting agreement, requirements that an employee waive the employee's or University's rights to any work or inventions which arise during the course of such outside activity must be approved by the President or representative.

  • What If I Engage in a Prohibited Transaction If you engage in a “prohibited transaction,” as defined in Section 4975 of the Internal Revenue Code, your account will be disqualified, and the entire balance in your account will be treated as if distributed to you and will be taxable to you as ordinary income.   • Board-Superintendent Relationship The Board shall be primarily responsible for formulating and adopting policy. The Superintendent shall be the chief administrative officer for the district and shall be responsible for implementing Board policy. He shall organize the administrative and supervisory staff, and select, place, and transfer personnel with the concurrence of the Board. He is responsible for administering the instruction of students and the business affairs of the school district. The Board members agree, individually and collectively, to promptly refer all criticisms, complaints, and suggestions called to their attention to the Superintendent for action, study and/or recommendation, as appropriate.

  • Union Activities If the Contract Amount is $50,000 or more, no Judicial Council funds received under this Agreement will be used to assist, promote or deter union organizing during the term of this Agreement (including any extension or renewal term).

  • INDEPENDENT RELATIONSHIP This Agreement is not intended to constitute, create, give effect to or otherwise recognize a joint venture, partnership, or formal business organization, or agency agreement of any kind, and the rights and obligations of the Parties shall be only those expressly set forth herein.
