(i) work shall be re-allocated from casual employees to the permanent employee; or
(ii) hours shall be reallocated from another employee who is working hours additional to their minimum specified hours; or
(iii) where the employee agrees, the employee may have access to annual or long service leave; or
(iv) the employee and employer may agree to a period of unpaid leave; or
(v) failing agreement in (iv) above, the matter shall be resolved as per clause 37 -

9.2 The ordinary hours of work for each employee, other than the Director of Nursing and casual employees, shall be displayed on a roster in a place conveniently accessible to employees.
9.2 9.3 The roster shall be displayed where practicable at least two (2) weeks prior, but in any event not less than one (1) week prior, to the commencing date of the first working period in the roster. Provided that in the case of a permanent part-time employee whose hours are balanced over 4 four (4) weeks, the roster shall be displayed where practicable, at least 4 four (4) weeks prior to the commencing date of the first working period in the roster but in any event not less than one (1) week prior, to the commencing date of the first working period in the roster.

9.10 Consultation about changes to rosters or hours of work
(i) Where the employer proposes to change an employee’s regular roster or ordinary hours of work, the employer must consult with the employee or employees affected and their representatives, if any, about the proposed change.
(ii) The employer must:
(a) provide to the employee or employees affected and their representatives, if any, information about the proposed change (for example, information about the nature of the change to the employee’s regular roster or ordinary hours of work and when that change is proposed to commence);
(b) invite the employee or employees affected and their representatives, if any, to give their views about the impact of the proposed change (including any impact in relation to their family or caring responsibilities); and
(c) give consideration to any views about the impact of the proposed change that are given by the employee or employees concerned and/or their representatives.
(iii) The requirement to consult under this clause does not apply where an employee has irregular, sporadic or unpredictable working hours.
(iv) These provisions are to be read in conjunction with other provisions in this Agreement concerning the scheduling of work and notice requirements.

9.4 Prior to the date of the changed shift, such change of roster shall be notified verbally or in writing to the employee concerned.
9.5 An employee may change their roster at short notice, with the agreement of their nurse unit manager Nurse Unit Manager or Director of Nursing for any reasonable ground.
