Sabbatical Leaves. A sabbatical leave program provides opportunities for continued professional growth and development of the Faculty and enhances the academic vitality of the University. The Faculty member’s plan for a sabbatical leave should include such activities as course development, research, creative activities, additional study, and preparation in new or different fields, any of which pertain to projects that relate to the educational mission of the University and to the professional development of the Faculty member. Sabbatical leaves may be recommended by the Administration, but remain subject to final approval or disapproval by the University’s Board of Trustees.
