Number of Leaves Sample Clauses

Number of Leaves. There will be a maximum of nine (9) leaves granted for each fiscal year.
Number of Leaves. The total number of sabbatical leaves granted during a school year, expressed in full-year leaves, shall not exceed one-half (1/2) of one (1) percent of the total number of persons employed in the bargaining unit. The actual number of sabbatical leaves authorized during the fiscal year shall be determined by the amount of money budgeted for this purpose.
Number of Leaves. 12.5.4.1 Annually, an amount equal to 0.6% of the total expenditure listed in the official budget under Certificated Salaries, Monthly Teaching and Variable Teaching + $100,000 shall be budgeted for sabbatical leaves for the life of the contract. 12.5.4.1.1 Any such funds allocated but not spent will be added to the allocation for the next following year. 12.5.4.1.2 If the actual cost is more than the amount allocated, such additional cost will be subtracted from the allocation for the next following year. 12.5.4.2 The number of sabbatical leaves granted shall be determined by the following process after the Sabbatical Leave Committee has established the ranking: 12.5.4.2.1 Each campus, with departmental participation as provided in Article 6 of this agreement, shall submit to the Chancellor which potential recipients need to be replaced and whether they should be replaced by full-time or part-time instructors. 12.5.4.2.2 The Chancellor will consult with the United Faculty on the possibility of inter-campus replacement for the potential candidates. 12.5.4.2.3 The Chancellor, in consultation with the United Faculty, shall then determine the number of sabbatical leaves to be granted.
Number of LeavesThe College shall make provision for one (1) semester of paid faculty sabbatical leave per academic year, except for years with a projected operating funds budget deficit. In such years the Board shall have the option to provide for the sabbatical. These funds may be allocated according to the leave plan requested under the provisions of Paragraph C.
Number of Leaves. Sabbatical leaves may be granted to no more than two principals in one year.
Number of LeavesThe District will allow a minimum of one sabbatical per fiscal year, for fiscal years 2013-14 and 2014-15 unless no application is received that is approved through the process outlined below.
Number of Leaves. The Long-Term Leave Subcommittee will grant at least nine (9) terms of professional development leave each year of the Agreement. In the event the year’s minimum number of leaves is not granted, the number below the minimum will be added to the minimum the following year. 23.8.8.1 In the event that the budgeted funds do not meet the need for paid sabbatical leaves, the Faculty Professional Development Committee may appeal to the College for additional funds.
Number of Leaves. The Board shall annually budget sufficient funds to implement at least four (4) semesters of paid faculty sabbatical leaves per academic year. These funds may be allocated so an individual faculty member shall receive at least one (1) and no more than two (2) semesters of paid leave, provided a faculty member granted such leave may also be granted an equal amount of leave of absence without pay. The leave shall be granted if the applications are determined to be meritorious by the Sabbatical Leaves Committee and by the Vice President for Educational Affairs. The Vice President of Educational Affairs shall recommend the number and length of leaves to be granted after consultation with the Committee. If the minimum number of sabbatical leaves is not granted in a particular year, any sabbatical leaves not awarded will be carried over to the next year. No more than seven (7) sabbatical leaves will be awarded in any one (1) academic year.
