Safety, Health And Environment Responsibility. (a) It is the responsibility of the Company to make adequate provision for the safety and health of employees during the hours of their employment and for the protection of the environment. Employees will be expected to observe established safety and environmental regulations and, to immediately report unsafe or environmentally harmful conditions, equipment, or practices to the Manager, who shall arrange to correct the problem as soon as possible. The Company and its employees shall comply with the Workers' Compensation act and its Regulations, the Workplace Act, the Occupational environment Regulations and applicable environmental statutes and regulations. It is the responsibility of the Company and its employees to notify the appropriate authorities if there is a release of hazardous substances to the air, earth or water systems. No employee may be disciplined for such notification, provided that the Company and the Health, Safety and Environment Committee have first been notified.

Employees also have responsibilities to protect their health, safety and environment and shall adhere to and uphold the established safety and environmental regulations and, to immediately report unsafe or environmentally harmful conditions, equipment, or practices to the Manager, who shall arrange to correct the problem as soon as possible. The Company and its employees shall comply with the Workers’ Compensation Act and its Regulations, the Workplace Act, the Occupational Environment Regulations and applicable environmental statutes and regulations.

The Employer will respond to suggestions on the subject from the Union and the parties undertake to consult with a view to adopting and expeditiously carrying out reasonable procedures and techniques designed or intended to prevent or reduce the risk of employment injury and employment-related chronic illness.
