Salaried Department Managers. At the Company’s option, and with the employee’s consent, an employee may be appointed to a salaried position in addition or in lieu of the above-mentioned Grocery Manager and Customer Service Manager classifications. Employees who have been full-time more than two (2) years and who are subsequently reduced below full-time will retain the employee’s rate of pay. Full-time employees who have been full-time less than two (2) years, who voluntarily reduce themselves to part-time status will have their pay reduced three full-time brackets but not below the initial full-time rate of pay. Employees will remain at that rate plus any contract increases until they once again attain full-time status at which time they will return to their previous full-time rate plus any contract increases. Employees who are assigned as Designated Assistant Department Managers and who have been full-time less than two (2) years and are reduced to part-time status will have their pay reduced to the initial full-time rate of pay. Such employees will continue to receive contract increases until they once again attain full-time status at which time they will return to their previous full-time bracket rate plus any increases.   • Department of Health and Human Services An employee notified of a positive controlled substance or alcohol test result may request an independent test of their split sample at the employee’s expense. If the test result is negative, the Employer will reimburse the employee for the cost of the split sample test. An employee who has a positive alcohol test and/or a positive controlled substance test may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, based on the incident that prompted the testing, including a violation of the drug and alcohol free work place rules.

  • Department Chairs The release time required to perform the administrative functions of the Department Chair positions shall be deducted from the total workload of the Department Chair with no less than fifty percent (50%) of this release taken from direct instructional duties.

  • Department Seniority Department seniority is defined as continuous length of service in calendar days within the employee’s department and where applicable, shall be used for internal department processes, such as vacation and schedule bids.

  • Association-Management Committee There shall be an Association-Management Committee comprised of two (2) representatives of the parties. The Committee shall meet quarterly, unless otherwise mutually agreed. Agenda items to be discussed shall be exchanged in writing at least five calendar days prior to the meeting. Meetings of this Committee will be to discuss matters of mutual concern, matters relating to nursing, professional practice, scheduling and work load issues. The Committee shall promote and provide for effective and meaningful communication. The parties agree Self Scheduling is appropriate subject matter to discuss in this forum.

  • Health & Safety Committee The Employer agrees to establish a Health & Safety Committee for all employees of the company under the auspices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). The Committee shall be made up of an equal number (not less than one each) of non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit persons who have completed their probationary period. The Union has the right to appoint the members representing the bargaining unit. The Committee shall keep minutes of its meetings and post them in the shop. One copy will be forwarded to the Union office.

  • Departmental Seniority Departmental seniority is defined as the length of employment within the employee’s current department. Department seniority shall accrue as of the first day of employment or transfer into a new department.
