Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday work a) Double time shall be paid for work done on Saturdays & Sundays and double time and a half shall be paid for work on any of the Public Holidays prescribed in this Agreement. Employees who work unplanned overtime on a Public Holiday shall receive a day in lieu.

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday. Ordinary hours worked by shift workers on a Saturday, Sunday or Public holiday will be paid as follows: • Saturday = 150% for each ordinary hour worked • Sunday = 200% for each ordinary hour worked • Public holiday = 200% for ordinary hours worked and an additional payment of 8 hours at ordinary time. The penalty for weekend work will be paid for the shift where the majority of hours fall e.g. the shift starting at 7pm Friday and ending 7am Saturday is deemed to be Saturday Night Shift. The penalty for a public holiday will be paid on the hours worked between midnight and midnight on the public holiday. The extra rates in this subclause are in substitution for and not cumulative upon other shift allowances. Continuous shift workers not rostered to work on a public holiday shall be paid 8 hours ordinary time. Non-continuous shift workers not rostered to work on a public holiday will be paid 8 hours for public holidays that fall Monday to Friday.

  • Sunday Employees at the Maine State Prison shall be eligible for a weekend differential of fifty cents ($.50) per hour to the base for shifts beginning between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 8:29 p.m. Sunday.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday ‌ For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Saturday Sunday and designated paid holidays shall not be counted in determining the time within which any action is to be taken or completed under the grievance procedure.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.
