Section 11.3.1. 40 Should the District decide to discharge or lay off any non-annual employee, the employee shall 41 be so notified in writing prior to the expiration of the school year.
Section 11.3.1. 35 Should the District discharge or lay off any employees hired for less than twelve (12) months, 36 she/he shall be notified in writing prior to the end of the school year. 37
Section 11.3.1. 2 The School District shall make one (1) time dues deduction from each member for local PSE 3 dues in January of each year in the amount of five dollars ($5.00). Such dues deduction shall be 4 sent to the treasurer of the Walla Walla Chapter of PSE
Section 11.3.1. 20 In the event of a delayed start or early release as per Article XI, Section 11.3., above, the 21 employee(s) in the Transportation, Secretarial, Educational Support and Food Service 22 classifications shall have the following options: 23 • The supervisor and the employee will mutually schedule the unworked hours.
Section 11.3.1. 28 The District will provide the Union reasonable access to new employees of the bargaining unit 29 for the purposes of presenting information about their exclusive bargaining representative to the 30 new employee. The presentation may occur during a new hire orientation provided by the 31 District, or at another time mutually agreed to by the District and Union. No employee may be 32 mandated to attend the meetings or presentations by the Union. "Reasonable access" for the 33 purposes of this section means: (a) The access to the new employee occurs within twenty (20) 34 days of the employee's start date within the bargaining unit; (b) The access is for thirty (30) 35 minutes; and (c) The access occurs during the new employee's workday at the employee's regular 36 worksite, or at a location mutually agreed to by the District and Union; (d) One (1) assigned 37 Union representative will be provided paid time to make this presentation. Such access will be 38 exclusively for access by Union representative to new employees and not part of some other 39 activity. 40
Section 11.3.1. 10 Should the District decide to discharge any non-annual employee, the employee shall be so 11 notified in writing prior to the employees’ last working day of the current school year.
Section 11.3.1. 15 Any employee who refuses to become a member of the Association in good standing or pay the 16 service charge in accordance with the previous sections, shall, at the option of the Association, 17 be immediately discharged from employment with the District.

Section 11.3.1. 32 In the event of two or more employees being hired on the same date in the same General Job 33 Classification (GJC), the seniority order shall be established by drawing lots. The Human 34 Resources department shall be responsible for recording and maintaining a record of the 35 seniority determination. 37 If there is no employee with seniority in the Seasonal SJC, the employee with the earliest 38 district hire date shall have preferential rights within the General Job Classification (GJC) for 39 which he/she is qualified. 40
Section 11.3.1. 36 For sufficient cause discharges, the employees past employment record with the District shall 37 be considered.
