Educational Support. (a) Having regard to the resources reasonably available to the Service Provider for such purposes, the Service Provider will cooperate with and assist AHS (and appropriate educational institutions) in the pursuit of their respective missions to educate students, residents and other post- graduates in medicine and other health disciplines in the Province of Alberta. Without limiting the foregoing, the Service Provider’s involvement will include the participation of students in hands-on as well as observational clinical experiences, including:
(i) patient care;
(ii) surgical and anesthetic teaching and assisting;
(iii) counselling and technical evaluation of patients, pre-operatively and post-operatively;
(iv) quality improvement protocols; and
(v) development, evaluation and completion of research protocols.
Educational Support. The Facility has the option to support the field practicum activities of TEXAS STATE students through a financial stipend or other types of subsidies for housing, parking, or meal costs. Such support is for the purpose of supporting field education and will not constitute an employer-employee relationship between the Facility and the student.

Educational Support. It is the desire of the EMPLOYER and the UNION to encourage all employees to avail themselves of additional educational advancement. To that end, the parties agree that efforts will be made to accommodate employees’ work schedules who are enrolled in educational courses. While the parties acknowledge that it may not be possible to accommodate each employee’s request, an effort will be made to make accommodations through the schedule bidding process, which may include modification of assignments, other flexible work schedules including substitutions (swaps) and annual leave time to complete their course requirements.
Educational Support. Any educational support employee who is willfully absent from duty without leave shall be subject to dismissal from employment and shall forfeit compensation for the time of the absence.
Educational Support. During negotiations the parties agreed to conduct a Training Needs Analysis within the TAC department. The goal is to develop a training matrix. Both parties further recognize that appropriate training needs will be addressed in order to better serve the business needs. Training issues can be raised through the TAC Committee.

Hospital’s obligations with respect to community and physician education regarding the Perfexion shall continue in the same manner and with the same amounts as set forth in Section 7 of the Lease; provided that community education activities may be expanded to the general public (in addition to physicians).
