Segregation, Intensive Management, and Mental Health Units. Employees may submit a bid or voluntary demotion bid to a Segregation Unit, Intensive Management Unit, or Mental Health Unit utilizing the bid system. Staff assignments will be consistent with policy DOC 400.410, “Staff Assignments to Specialized Units”. If the Department changes this policy and the changes affect a mandatory subject of bargaining, the Department will give notice to the Union and bargain the policy changes if requested by the Union.
