Selection of Successful Candidate. The employee who has the greatest seniority, knowledge, education, experience, qualifications, ability and skill to fill the vacancy immediately shall be selected.
Selection of Successful Candidate. (a) The Employer will base its selection of the successful applicant to fill a posted vacancy on the applicants’ overall qualifications, skills, ability and relevant experience for the position. If the selection is to be made from two or more applicants whose qualifications, skill, ability and relevant experience are considered to be relatively equal, the Employee with the greater seniority shall be selected.
(b) The Employer will notify the successful applicant. The name of the successful applicant will be posted on the Human Resources Services’ web site. The Union will be notified of the name of the successful applicant.

Failure to obtain those qualifications and to submit proof of same to the Employer within two (2) months of appointment to the position shall result in the employee being returned to her former position as set out in Article
