SENIORITY AND REDUCTION IN FORCE. Section 1. City seniority is understood to mean an employee's most recent date of employment or re-employment. A probationary promotional employee found to be unsatisfactory may will be returned to the position and status held prior to promotion without right of appeal through the State of Florida Police Standards Board. All new employees on probationary status shall be eligible for membership in the PBA although not eligible to grieve disciplinary action. Non-sworn employees will serve a six (6)-month probationary periodgrievance procedure.
Section 5SECTION 4. Employees shall lose their seniority as a result of the following:

(C) Termination for Legitimate Reasons
(D) Absent without authorized leave for three (3) consecutive working days, absent justification.
