Service Credit for Sick Leave. Employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave and who retire from the City of San Rafael’s Marin County Employee’s Retirement System, on or after January 1, 2003, and within 120 days of leaving City employment (excludes deferred retirement), shall receive employment service credit, for retirement purposes only, for all hours of accrued, unused sick leave (exclusive of any sick leave hours said employee is eligible to receive and elects to receive in compensation at the time of retirement).
