Service/Education Allowance a) An allowance of $2,000 per annum payable monthly shall be paid to employees who have successfully completed the requirements of a four-year degree from a recognized University and/or have completed the equivalent of eight years of full-time, continuous service with the Employer as a Community School Coordinator. The allowance shall be pro-rated for part-time employees who qualify for it.

Service/Education Allowance. Effective August 27, 2001, an allowance of $1,000 per annum payable monthly shall be paid to employees who have successfully completed the requirements of a four-year degree from a recognized University and/or have completed the equivalent of eight years of full-time, continuous service with the Employer as a Community School Coordinator. The allowance shall be pro-rated for part-time employees who qualify for it. For current employees, the allowances shall be effective the first of the month following the completion of eight years of service or receipt by the Employer of evidence of meeting the requirements of a degree. For new appointments, the allowance shall be effective on the date of appointment or the first of the month following receipt of evidence of the completion of a degree, whichever is later. Evidence of completion includes an original transcript and confirmation from the University that the employee has met requirements of the degree. The onus is on the employee to provide the evidence to the Superintendent of Human Resources and Workplace Diversity.

Related to Service/Education Allowance

  • Continuing Education Allowance (a) A registered nurse or enrolled nurse who holds a continuing education qualification in a clinical field, in addition to the qualification leading to registration or enrolment, shall be paid an allowance subject to the conditions set out in this clause.

  • Education Allowance Provisions in existing Collective Agreements providing for educational allowances shall be continued in effect.

  • Travelling Allowance Where an employee is required to attend or conduct a clinic away from their base hospital, or attend to employer business away from their base hospital, the employer shall, wherever possible, pay all accommodation and travel costs (i.e. the employee shall not be required to pay for such expenses and get reimbursed at a later date). Employees shall be entitled, with prior approval, to claim any actual and reasonable expenses incurred.

  • Administration Allowances In addition to the foregoing salary, there shall be paid additional allowances in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions.   • Employee Education (A) At the discretion of the Agency Head or designee, the state may allow employees to attend short courses, institutes, and workshops which will improve their performance in their current position, without a loss of pay and benefits.
