WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. The Union and the Employer recognize the diversity of the workplace and the multi-cultural and linguistic composition of the workforce. Employees shall only speak the English language in the workplace, except while on rest and meal breaks and other unpaid time, where Employees may speak any language or as otherwise required for the care of the resident.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. Purpose
14.1 The parties agree to promote workplace diversity and shall, where appropriate, work together to:
(a) facilitate the implementation of employment systems, policies and practices that are inclusive and non-discriminatory in nature and effect and which are consistent with the terms and conditions of this Collective Agreement; and
(b) facilitate the collection and analysis of data on the current representation and distribution of African-Canadians, aboriginal peoples, other racially visible persons, persons with disabilities, and women.
(a) Notwithstanding Article 15: Appointment and Termination of Employment, during each fiscal year (April 1- March 31) the College may designate competitions for vacant positions in the bargaining unit for members of diverse groups identified in clause 14.1 (b).
(b) The designated competitions shall only apply to newly created positions or positions that are not currently occupied by an Employee with term status.
(c) The College shall advise the Union prior to posting a designated competition.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. The parties recognise and encourage the contribution that people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and skills can make to the workplace. Kordia will work with employees to prevent and eliminate discrimination on any unlawful grounds, including but not limited to race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, marital status, family responsibilities, pregnancy, religious belief, political opinion, national extraction, or social origin. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. Parties Promote Diversity
12.1 The parties agree to promote workplace diversity and shall, where appropriate, work together to:
(a) facilitate the implementation of employment systems, policies and practices that are inclusive and non-discriminatory in nature and effect and which are consistent with the terms and conditions of this Collective Agreement; and
(b) facilitate the collection and analysis of data on the current representation and distribution of Mi’kmaq and other Indigenous/Aboriginal people, African/Black Nova Scotians and other members of racially visible groups, persons with disabilities, persons of a minority sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, women, and newcomers.
12.2 The College shall cultivate diversity by implementing proactive initiatives in order to increase the representation of designated group members at the College.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. A. The Employer, Union and employees covered by this Agreement share a commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and intersectionality in the workplace.
B. The Employer shall make good faith efforts to promote a diverse workforce, including but not limited to, committing resources to recruitment, hiring, training, retention and promoting career development of bargaining unit employees consistent with this commitment.
C. The Employer's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Intersectionality Task Force (“DEII Task Force”), which was established July 1, 2020, is in the process of defining the terms diversity, equity, inclusion and intersectionality and will provide such definitions to employees of the Employer.
D. Any bargaining unit member who serves on the DEII Task Force shall have their participation count as one of their overall goals for the year.
E. The Employer shall provide access to gender neutral bathrooms if practicable. The Employer shall honor employees' gender identity and expression, including gender pronouns.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. The GBRMPA Workplace Diversity Program provides a framework which ensures that the GBRMPA recognises, values and utilises the background, skills and abilities of all employees, and recognises and makes best use of the diversity of the Australian community.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. 77.1 AIMS and its Staff recognise that diversity (which includes differences in expertise, background, working style, preferences, beliefs, learning style, perspectives, cultures and interests) increases innovation, learning and productivity and so commit to value and respect individual differences.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. 72.1 Parties to this Agreement agree that the Institute will continue to implement the Workplace Diversity Program.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. 24.1 V/Line is committed to fostering a fair and inclusive working environment that values and utilises the contribution of its Employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences. V/Line will continue to develop the workplace diversity program to support the business value and the removal of employment-related bias that may be experienced by minority groups. This workplace diversity program aims to ensure V/Line and its Employees: • Xxxxxx an inclusive culture of workplace diversity; • Recognise the advantages of, and helping make best use of, the diversity available in the workplace; • Improve attraction, retention and development of staff identifying with diversity groups; • Improve communication with and about staff who identify with diversity groups; • Help prevent all forms of discrimination, consistent with legislation and community expectations; and • Eliminate any employment-related disadvantage for staff in the department on the basis of their identification as a member of a diversity group.
WORKPLACE DIVERSITY. 30.1. ITSA recognises the contribution that individuals with varying backgrounds, experiences and perspectives make to the achievement of our purpose. We seek to maintain a work environment where workplace diversity is important and: • people are treated fairly; • harassment and discrimination are not tolerated; • employees can balance their personal and work responsibilities; and • we make the best use of our diverse capabilities.
30.2. ITSA’s Workplace Diversity Program outlines how we will achieve diversity in the workplace. All employees agree to fully participate in the ongoing implementation of the Program.
