Settling of Grievance. At each step interpretation, application, or alleged violation of this Collective Agreement shall first discuss the matter with their Manager within seven (7) days of the grievance procedure date they first became aware of, or reasonably should have become aware of the grievor occurrence. The employee shall have the right to be presentaccompanied by a Shop Xxxxxxx or Local Union Officer while discussing the matter with their Manager. A sincere attempt shall be made by both parties through discussion to resolve the problem at that level. In the event an employee alleges that they have been dismissed or suspended without just cause, the employee may commence their grievance at Step 2. The Manager shall advise the employee of their decision within seven (7) days of the date the matter was first discussed. When the Union files a group grievance, it is handled in the same manner as an individual grievance as outlined in Step 1. Step 2 If the xxxxxxx, the grievance chairperson or an Executive Committee member consider the grievance to be justified, he will seek to settle the dispute with the employee's supervisor. An xxxxxxx effort It is the mutual desire of the parties hereto that complaints of employees shall be made adjusted as quickly as possible, and it is understood that an employee has no grievance until he has first given his immediate supervisor the opportunity of adjusting his complaint.
