Crossing of Picket Lines. Employees shall not be required to cross any picket line legally established and maintained under the statutes of British Columbia. The Union agrees to seriously attempt to get permits from the picketing Union to allow School Board employees to carry out normal functions.
Crossing of Picket Lines. 12 Employees in the bargaining unit, while acting in the course of their employment, shall 13 not refuse to cross any picket line established by any labor organization when called upon to 14 cross such picket line in the line of duty. It is understood, however, that no employee shall be 15 disciplined or discharged for refusal to cross a picket line:
16 A. when directed to perform work which does not properly fall within the scope and
Crossing of Picket Lines. Employees shall have the right to refrain from crossing picket lines. To refrain from crossing a picket line shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement, nor shall it be grounds for disciplinary action.
Crossing of Picket Lines. In the event that any other employees of the Employer engage in a strike or where employees in a labour dispute engage in a strike and maintain picket lines, the employees covered by this Agreement shall have the right to refuse to cross such picket lines. Failure to cross such a picket line by the members of this Union shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement, nor shall it be grounds for disciplinary action.
Crossing of Picket Lines. 15 Employees in the bargaining unit, while acting in the course of their employment, 16 shall not refuse to cross any picket line established by any labor organization when called 17 upon to cross such picket line in the line of duty. It is understood, however, that no 18 employee shall be disciplined or discharged for refusal to cross a picket line:
19 A. when directed to perform work which does not properly fall within the 20 scope and jurisdiction of this bargaining unit; or
21 B. when the employee has attempted to cross the picket line, contacted 22 the supervisor requesting assistance in passage through the picket line, and such 23 assistance was not provided.
Crossing of Picket Lines. An employee covered by this Agreement shall have the right to:
a) refuse to cross a legal picket line; or
b) refuse to do the work of employees on a legal strike or lockout. Such refusal shall not be grounds for disciplinary action. Employees shall not receive pay for time spent in exercising these rights and the Union shall reimburse the University for the premium costs associated with the continuation of group benefits.
Crossing of Picket Lines. Employees shall have the right to refuse to perform the work of striking/locked out persons employed in other Bargaining Units of NSCAD University. Subject to its other rights in such circumstances, the Employer agrees that it shall not take disciplinary action against an employee for refusing to cross a legal picket line of persons employed in other Bargaining Units at NSCAD University.
Crossing of Picket Lines. The Board agrees that no employee shall be required to cross any picket line legally established by a bona fide trade union.
Crossing of Picket Lines. The Employer agrees that no employee shall be subject to discipline or dismissal for refusing to cross a picket line within the meaning of the Labour Code of British Columbia. However, if such refusal results in the employee not being able to perform the employee’s duties, they may immediately be taken off the payroll until once again able to perform the normal duties of the position.
