Common use of Settling of Grievance Clause in Contracts

Settling of Grievance. It is the mutual desire of the parties hereto that complaints of employees shall be adjusted as quickly as possible. No employee shall file a grievance until she has first given her immediate supervisor the opportunity of adjusting her complaint. The complaint must be addressed with the Supervisor within five (5) working days of the issue giving rise to the complaint. If the complaint is not satisfactorily resolved within five (5) working days after the employee has addressed their complaint with the immediate supervisor, the complaint may be taken up as a grievance in the following manner:
