Common use of Shift Premium Clause in Contracts

Shift Premium. With the exception of Circulation Service Clerks, employees who work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. shall be paid a shift premium of eighty-five cents (85¢) per hour. Such shift premium shall only apply to hours worked and not be used to calculate overtime, vacation pay, sick leave, holidays and other fringe benefits.
