Shift Relief. No employee assigned to a rotating shift or continuous operation shift shall leave at the end of the shift until their relief reports, unless released by their supervisor.
Shift Relief. Each operator must remain with his coach until relieved. In the event said driver is not relieved at the scheduled time, he shall immediately notify the dispatcher that he has not been relieved, and shall continue to operate said vehicle according to the public schedule until relieved. The dispatcher shall make every effort to relieve said operator as soon as possible. The operator will be compensated for actual extra time worked unless forced. The operator will be paid a minimum of two (2) hours extra time if forced to work.
Shift Relief. It is agreed that employees on shift shall not leave their place of work until properly relieved by another employee or until authorized to do so by their Manager.
Shift Relief work employee rostered on Shift to cover a Shift Fitter's absence will be paid in accordance with Clause 17 - Shift Work.
Shift Relief. Any employee not properly relieved at the end of their shift shall immediately report to the immediate supervisor of the incoming shift for direction. Employees shall not abandon their position until appropriately relieved unless excused by the Duty Chief.
Shift Relief. (a) The Employer shall provide an availability calendar to be completed and submitted to the scheduling office by the Employee on a monthly basis.
(b) Where a previously scheduled shift becomes vacant, the shift shall be offered to Regular Employees in order of seniority in accordance to the availability calendar before being offered to Casual Employees.
(c) For the purpose of Article 7.05 seniority shall not apply to a Regular Employee who:
(i) would incur overtime unless the Employee is willing to waive the overtime in writing;
(ii) has already worked a full shift on that day;
(iii) has reached a 1.0 FTE in a two (2) week period.
(d) Notwithstanding Article 7.05(c), the Employer shall pay the overtime rate to the Employee who agrees to work a shift relieving for an absence where there are no Casual Employees available for the shift in question and all the regular Employees would incur overtime.
(e) Notwithstanding Article 7.02, no Employee shall be permitted to work in excess of twelve (12) shifts in a two (2) week period.
Shift Relief. An employee who normally works day work but is required to provide relief for a 5-shift operation shall be paid the allowance set out in the table 12.12. Employees receiving this allowance will normally be entitled to 48 hours notice of the requirement to work shift work or change shifts however, where it is not possible to give such notice, due to exceptional circumstances, a lesser period of notice will be acceptable(Clause 16.2). The allowance will only be payable when on day work, when working on shift the shift relief will be paid at the appropriate shift rate.
Shift Relief. An employee, assigned to a shift that is scheduled to be followed immediately by another shift without lapse of time, shall not leave the employee's work place until relieved by the employee assigned to the same operation on the following shift unless by special permission of the Operations Manager or designate.
