Sick Leave During Leave of Absence and Layoff. When an employee works at least ten (10) days in a month or is on paid leave, she shall receive sick leave credit for that calendar month. When an employee is granted laid off on account of lack of work, she shall not receive sick leave credits for the period of absence without pay or receives layoff, and such absence exceeds thirty (30) daysbut shall retain her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the employee shall maintain but not accrue sick leave creditstime of such layoff.
