Snowplowing/Salting and Other Work. ‌ The Village reserves the right to assign and schedule all qualified Village employees, including temporary seasonal employees, for snowplowing/salting as it sees fit to meet the needs of the Village. The Village requires employees to be ready and available to work during snowplowing and salting situations The Village also reserves the right to assign and schedule work performed by bargaining unit members to non-bargaining unit persons where, in the opinion of the Director which is not arbitrary or capricious, such assignment makes sense from an operational and/or economic perspective. It is recognized that snow events turn to 12 hour shifts. Nothing herein is intended to modify the Village’s current practices and procedures of using Supervisors, permanent employees, seasonal employees, full and part-time employees for work traditionally performed by bargaining unit members.
