STAFFING DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. Temporary Assignment Due to Absence of Student An absence of fifteen (15) consecutive working days or less of the student, where it is anticipated that the student will return, may result in the Educational Assistant at that work site being temporarily at the same work site.

Temporary Due to Absence of Student and Reduction in Permanent Positions If the student is absent beyond fifteen (15) consecutive workings days, or it is known at the outset the student will be absent for more than fifteen (15) consecutive working days, the least senior Educational Assistant at the site may be declared surplus if no permanent assignment is possible, in accordance with qualifications, skills and abilities at that work site. Permanent members declared surplus during the school year may be temporarily placed into vacant positions or into temporary positions, subject to qualifications, skills and abilities, until the end of the current school year, or until a position becomes available at the original school, whichever is earlier. The Board and the Bargaining Unit shall meet to review existing vacant and temporary positions. The Board shall, where possible, offer the employee a choice of work locations. It is understood that such vacant positions shall become part of the staffing procedure for the following school year, if the vacancy still exists, and the Educational Assistant shall be placed into an assignment for the following September in accordance with Article The Educational Assistant shall remain as part of the original school's staffing complement for purposes of the June placement meeting. New Positions the School Year Vacancies determined subsequent to the staffing procedure under Article shall be filled by posting the vacancy in accordance with Article Job

  • Employee Leaving During the Notice Period If the employment of an employee is terminated (other than for misconduct) before the notice period expires, the employee shall be entitled to the same benefits and payments under this clause had the employee remained with the employer until the expiry of such notice. Provided that in such circumstance the employee shall not be entitled to payment in lieu of notice.

  • Time Off During Notice Period During the period of notice of termination given by the employer, an employee shall be allowed up to one day's time off without loss of pay for the purpose of seeking other employment. This time off shall be taken at times that are convenient to the employee after consultation with the employer.

  • Employee leaving during notice period An employee given notice of termination in circumstances of redundancy may terminate their employment during the period of notice. The employee is entitled to receive the benefits and payments they would have received under this clause had they remained in employment until the expiry of the notice, but is not entitled to any payment in lieu of any remaining notice.

  • Refund During Cooling-Off Period The PEI will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the Contract has been signed by both parties. The Student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the Student submits a written notice of withdrawal to the PEI within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

  • OPERATION OF PROPERTY DURING AGREEMENT PERIOD The Seller will continue to operate the Property and any business conducted on the Property in the manner operated prior to the Agreement and will take no action that would adversely impact the Property, tenants, lender, or business, if any. Any changes, such as renting vacant space, that materially affects the Property or the Buyer's intended use will be permitted only with the Buyer's consent.
