Standard or Extended Parental Leaves for Full Time Continuing Employees. An Employee who is eligible may elect to take either a standard Parental leave or an extended Parental leave. The Employee must elect either a standard or extended Parental leave of absence prior to the commencement of the applicable leave and cannot elect a different duration once the Pregnancy and/or standard or extended Parental leave, for the purpose of determining the value of the SUB benefit under Article 29.08, as the case may be, has commenced.

  • Probation for Newly Hired Employees (a) The Employer may reject a probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Article 11.2

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY LIMITATION 175. An employee who is absent because of disability leave and who is receiving disability indemnity payments may request that the amount of disability indemnity payment be supplemented with salary to be charged against the employee's sick leave with pay credits so as to equal the amount the employee would have earned for a regular work schedule. If the employee wishes to exercise this option, the employee must submit a signed statement to the employee's department no later than thirty (30) days following the employee's release from disability leave.

  • Continuing Employees “Continuing Employees” is defined in Section 6.4 of the Agreement.

  • Sick Leave Days Payable at 100% Wages Permanent Employees Subject to paragraphs d), e) and f) below, Employees will be allocated eleven (11) sick days payable at one hundred percent (100%) of wages on the first day of each fiscal year, or the first day of employment.

  • Overtime-Exempt Employees Overtime-exempt employees are not covered by federal or state overtime laws. Compensation is based on the premise that overtime-exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as necessary to provide the public services for which they were hired. These employees are accountable for their work product and for meeting the objectives of the agency for which they work. The Employer’s policy for all overtime-exempt employees is as follows:

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Special Parental Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who:

  • Extended Parental Leave 22.1 The Board shall grant an extension to the parental leave as provided in Article 21 in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in this Article.

  • Retroactive Pay for Terminated Employees An employee who has retired or severed his/her employment between the termination date of this Agreement and the effective date of the new Agreement shall receive the full retroactivity of any increase in wages, salaries or other benefits.
