Standardisation Strategy. Task 4.4 GridCoord will investigate the status of standardization activities in Grid computing and devise a strategy concept for European activities in standardization. The project will: • Summarise available information about standardisation bodies and European participation in these bodies; • Identify key European participants in standardization and conduct interviews with them; • Contact representatives of the key standardization bodies and conduct interviews with them; • Contact leading industries in Grid Computing and conduct interviews with key personnel in these companies; • Compile a report and develop a strategic concept for standardisation. The experiment will use the French Grid5000 infrastructure, complemented with equipments by other partners in Europe, Asia, and Americas. A first experiment is planned for October 2004 (see xxxx://xxx.xxxx.xxx/plugtests/grid.htm) • The contribution of UP will be mainly devoted to the active participation to the Global Grid Forum (GGF) activities.
