PRODUCTION STANDARDS. 24.01 When a dispute arises between the Company and the Union as to the production performance of an employee, the Union shall have the right to bring into the plant a representative qualified to deal with any technical aspects of the dispute and every effort shall be made by the parties to resolve the problem. All expenses in connection with the Union Representative shall be borne by the Union. Any dispute which cannot be resolved by the parties involved will be referred to a qualified Industrial Engineer agreed upon by the Company and Union. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on both parties and his expense shall be borne equally. 24.02 All disciplinary action concerning production standards shall be taken within two
PRODUCTION STANDARDS. The Company may establish minimum production standards applicable to Representative.
PRODUCTION STANDARDS. 9:01 It is the right of the Company to establish and enforce production standards. A standard time study system will be utilized for this purpose. Production standards shall include allowances as follows; Personal and Delay -- will not be less than 7.3% Fatigue -- will vary, depending on the job. Total Allowance -- consisting of Personal, Delay and Fatigue will not be less than 10.5%. a) Such production standards shall be fair and equitable and shall be set on the basis of normal working conditions, the quality of workmanship and the normal working capabilities of normal, experienced operators, who is someone who holds the job posting. b) Production standards shall be set and maintained by the Company through the use of experienced methods analyst(s). c) Jobs may be restudied when there is a change in materials, tools, machinery, equipment, methods, design, or where a clerical error has been found. Only the affected elements shall be changed and only to the degree of change shown by a restudy. d) The Union shall have the right to process grievances on disputed production standards through the grievance procedure. In processing grievances on production standards, the Union shall be allowed to bring in a Time Study Expert from the National Union. The Company shall make information available to him and the Union shall have the right to request a restudy if the job appears improperly studied. If a Union Time Study Expert is utilized under this section, the cost of such service shall be borne by the Union. Refer to Article 9.06 of this Appendix for specific procedures on grievances over production standards. 9:02 The Company will establish production standards according to the procedure set forth in Section 9:03 of this Article. The Company will make available to the Union upon request complete data showing the basis upon which a particular standard was determined. PRODUCTION STANDARDS. 27.01 When the Company establishes work standards, it will do so on the basis of fairness and equity consistent with quality of workmanship, and the reasonable working capacities of a normal experienced employee working at a normal pace to produce quality work in a manner that the Company prescribes.
PRODUCTION STANDARDS. The Parties agree that the Production Standards shall be all of the standards and requirements set forth in the current (as of the time of delivery of Ethanol under this agreement) ASTM standard specifications for denatured fuel ethanol for blending with gasolines for use as automotive spark ignition engine fuel.
PRODUCTION STANDARDS. 40:01 The right of the Company to establish and to maintain standards of production is fully recognized. The Company shall establish reasonable production standards on a basis of fairness and equity, consistent with quality workmanship, efficiency of operations, and the reasonable working capacity of normal operators. The Company will give proper consideration to the conditions under which standards of production are established and a change of quality, methods, equipment, tooling or material, which results in a substantial change of the job content and/or rate of production will be reason for the Company to change standards of production. Such changes shall be confined to the elements of work or methods which have been changed. The Engineering Department shall establish production standards, basing them on part experience on the same or similar jobs or operations, or by time and motion studies. The Union may question and process a grievance on production standards, following the regular procedure. The Union, in the case of a dispute, shall have the right to bring in representative from the Unifor Engineering Department. An Arbitrator dealing with a production standards grievance shall be a qualified Production Professional Engineer. The Union Plant Committee shall be informed, in writing, the reason for, methods used and all particulars of any change made in production standards at the time such change becomes effective.
PRODUCTION STANDARDS. The Employer may establish, implement, and/or continue systems of production requirements. The Union shall be notified of such newly established systems of production requirements and the date of implementation. If the newly established and implemented production requirements are deemed to be unreasonable by the Union, that issue may be submitted to the grievance and arbitration provisions of this Agreement within seven (7) days of the date of implementation. Further, in the event an employee is suspended, discharged or issued a written warning notice for failure to meet such production requirements, the discharge, suspension or warning notice may also be submitted to the grievance and arbitration provisions of this Agreement and a determination made if the production requirements, as they pertain to the discharge, suspension, or warning notice, were unreasonable.
PRODUCTION STANDARDS. The Company has the right to establish production standards by using a combination of continuous and snap back stop watch time studies, standard data developed from times and or standard data compiled from previous studies. Fair and equitable production standards will be maintained with due consideration given to those allowances indicated in the letter of intent in schedule All Industrial Engineers conducting time studies will be trained in the above mentioned time study methods.
PRODUCTION STANDARDS. A. Production incentive standards shall be established by the Employer. They will be established by means of accepted Industrial Engineering technique, including standard data. The Union will have the right to examine sources of standard data. Wherever any change affects only part of a job, the Employer may restudy only the affected elements unless such change would affect the preceding elements and succeeding elements. In this case, it may review such elements and consider the results of such review of the changed elements as part of the standard. B. Once a rate has been established, it shall not be subject to change unless there are changes in the method, material, product, equipment or layout and such changes would result in an accumulated change of five percent (5%) or more to the original operational time. In that event, only the element or elements which have changed will be re-studied and the overall rate adjusted accordingly. C. The production incentive standard itself, as well as the manner by which it was established, shall be fair and equitable to both the Associates and the Employer. D. An Associate, when being observed, shall perform his work in accordance with the Employer's instructions and shall otherwise cooperate to give a performance which is representative of the actual conditions under which the job will run. He shall also understand that each job will stand on its own merit. E. It is agreed that any standard will be considered correct if the average operator working at a job he can do well can earn at least twenty-five percent (25%) above standard while working at incentive pace. The Employer recognizes that incentive Associates producing at effort in excess of normal (over one hundred and twenty-five percent (125%) as defined above) will generate additional earnings over time rates. An Associate producing at an effort less than normal for his classification of work shall be given notice to bring his production standard up to at least normal within thirty (30) days. Failure to do so may subject such Associate to transfer to another job classification or assignment to any job vacancy in the plant. F. All production incentive standards shall be so computed as to actually give the worker allowance for personal time, fatigue depending upon the mental and physical fatigue caused by the job, and for tools, trouble, and contingencies.
