Step 1 - Informal Discussion with Supervisor a. The grievance shall first be discussed on an informal basis by the grievant and his/her immediate supervisor within ten (10) calendar days from the date of the action causing the grievance, or date of discovery of such action, except that in no event shall any grievance be accepted for consideration more than one (1) year from the action claimed as its basis, regardless of the date of discovery. b. Every effort shall be made to resolve the grievance at this level, and may include conferences among supervisory and administrative personnel. The immediate supervisor shall verbally respond to the grievant with ten (10) calendar days of the informal discussion between grievant and supervisor.

The grievance shall first be discussed on an informal basis by the aggrieved with his/her immediate supervisor within twenty-one (21) calendar days from the date of the action causing the grievance, or date of discovery of such action, except that in no event shall any grievance be accepted for consideration more than one (1) year from the action claimed as its basis regardless of the date of discovery. b. Every effort shall be made to resolve the grievance at this level, and may include conferences among supervisory and administrative personnel. The immediate supervisor shall verbally respond to the grievant with five (5) working days of the informal discussion between grievant and supervisor.
Step 1 - Informal Discussion with Supervisor. Employee discusses his/her allegation of a grievance with his/her immediate supervisor on an informal basis within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of the action causing the grievance, or date of discovery of such action, except that in no event shall any grievance be accepted for consideration more than one (1) year from the action claimed as its basis, regardless of the date of discovery. Within fourteen (14) calendar days, the immediate supervisor shall give his/her decision to the employee. If the decision is not satisfactory to the employee, or if no answer is received within the time limit, the employee may initiate a formal grievance.

  • Informal Discussions The employee's concerns will be presented orally by the employee to the appropriate supervisor. Every effort shall be made by all concerned in an informal manner to develop an understanding of the facts and the issues in order to create a climate which will lead to resolution of the problem. If the employee is not satisfied with the informal discussion(s) relative to the matter in question, he/she may proceed to the formal grievance procedure.

  • Informal Negotiations To expedite resolution and control the cost of any dispute, controversy, or claim related to these Terms of Use (each a "Dispute" and collectively, the “Disputes”) brought by either you or us (individually, a “Party” and collectively, the “Parties”), the Parties agree to first attempt to negotiate any Dispute (except those Disputes expressly provided below) informally for at least thirty (30) days before initiating arbitration.   • Informal Stage If a Teacher is unable to resolve a complaint informally, the Teacher may with the concurrence of the Bargaining Unit Executive initiate a complaint with his/her supervisor who shall answer the complaint in writing (if requested) within ten (10) days of receipt of the complaint. The problem must be brought to the attention of the supervisor within fifteen (15) days after the Teacher becomes aware, or would reasonably be expected to have become aware, of the circumstances giving rise to the complaint.

  • Informal Conference An employee against whom the disciplinary action is being considered may be requested to attend an informal conference with the immediate supervisor, his/her designee and/or a Human Resources Administrator prior to official written notification or any recommended disciplinary action. At such conference, the employee shall be informed orally of the specific disciplinary action being considered as well as the reasons therefore and be given an opportunity to respond thereto. At such a conference, the employee may represent himself/herself and/or be represented by a union representative. Holding such an informal conference is discretionary with the District and the failure to do so shall not invalidate any disciplinary action taken pursuant to this regulation.

  • Informal Procedure A complaint may be presented informally to the administrator whose decision or action is being contested.

  • Discussion Staff has reviewed the proposal relative to all relevant policies and advise that it is reasonably consistent with the intent of the MPS. Attachment B provides an evaluation of the proposed development agreement in relation to the relevant MPS policies.
