STRIKES AND WORK ACTIONS. Section 1: No Strikes - The parties acknowledge their statutory legal obligations in NRS 288.230 - 288.260, and further agree that they will not cause, permit or authorize a strike, sit down, slow down or any work stoppage or limitation of service during the term of this Agreement. Any employee who ceases work to engage in an unauthorized work stoppage may be discharged or otherwise disciplined by the City. The City agrees not to lock out any employees.

STRIKES AND WORK ACTIONS. A. The Union and the members of the bargaining unit, as individuals or as a group, will not initiate, cause, permit, or participate or join in any strike, work stoppage, slowdown, picketing, or any other restriction of work while on duty. Employees in the bargaining unit, while acting in the course of their employment, shall not honor any picket line established by the Union or any other labor organization when called upon to cross such picket line in the line of duty. The Union recognizes that disciplinary action including discharge, may be taken by the Employer at its discretion against any employees engaged in a violation of this Article subject to just cause. Such disciplinary action may be undertaken selectively at the option of the Employer and shall not preclude or restrict recourse to any other remedies, including an action for damages, which may be available to the Employer.

Such disciplinary action may be undertaken at the option of the Employer and shall not preclude or restrict recourse to any other remedies, including an action for damages, which may be available to the Employer.

The SOA covenants and agrees that during the term of this Agreement, neither the SOA nor any person acting in its behalf will cause, authorize or support, nor will any of the members of the SOA take part in any strike, work stoppage, slowdown, walkout or other deliberate interference with normal work procedures against the Township.

  • STRIKES, LOCKOUTS AND PICKET LINES The Union agrees that during the life of this Agreement, the Union or its bargaining unit members will not authorize, instigate, aid or engage in any work stoppage, slowdown, sickout, refusal to work, picketing or strike against the Employer and/or the Agency, its goods, property or on its property. The Agency agrees that during the life of this Agreement there will be no lockout. Upon notification confirmed in writing by the Employer to the Union that certain bargaining unit members covered by this Agreement are engaging in strike activity in violation of this Article, the Union shall advise such striking employees in writing, with a copy to the Department of Administrative Services, to return to work immediately. Such notification by the Union shall not constitute an admission that it has caused or counseled such strike activity.

  • Emergency Work Authorizations The State, at its sole discretion, may accept the Engineer's signature on a faxed copy of the work authorization as satisfying the requirements for executing the work authorization, provided that the signed original is received by the State within five business days from the date on the faxed copy.

  • WORK STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS 4.1 During the term of this Agreement there shall be no strikes, picketing, work stoppages, slowdowns or other disruptive activity for any reason by the Union, its applicable Local Union or by any employee, and there shall be no lockout by the Contractor. Failure of any Union, Local Union or employee to cross any picket line established at the Project site is a violation of this Article. Any damages resulting from any violation of this Agreement will be paid by the violating party.

  • CONTRACTOR’S PRE-EXISTING WORKS A. To the extent that Contractor incorporates into the Work Product any works of Contractor that were created by Contractor or that Contractor acquired rights in prior to the Effective Date of this Contract (“Incorporated Pre-existing Works”), Contractor retains ownership of such Incorporated Pre-existing Works.
