Student Outreach. After reviewing the recommendations of the consultant(s), the Division will determine whether changes are needed to its current outreach plan for elementary, middle and high school students regarding GO, middle school Advanced Courses and high school Advanced, AP and DC Courses. If not already being done as part of its targeted outreach plan, at a minimum, the outreach activities should include information about the need to take certain prerequisite courses to prepare students for a successful transition into middle school Advanced Courses and high school Advanced, AP and DC Courses, and peer presentations on a voluntary basis by available and interested African-American students enrolled in GO, middle school Advanced Courses and high school Advanced, AP and DC Courses regarding their experiences in such courses. The Division may consider and implement others actions not otherwise described in this Agreement in an effort to increase the enrollment of African American students in the Division’s GO, middle school Advanced Courses and high school Advanced, AP and DC Courses, including outreach efforts to directly encourage African-American students to consider participation.

Student Outreach. ESU will participate in student outreach (e.g.: transfer fairs, campus visits, virtual open houses, etc.) at least once each fall/spring semester to encourage CCP students to meet with representatives from ESU for discussion of issues related to admission and financial aid well in advance of their expected date of entry to the transfer institution.

If not already being done as part of its targeted outreach plan, at a minimum, the outreach activities should include peer presentations on a voluntary basis by available and interested African-American, Hispanic and ELL students enrolled in SGEP, Middle School Advanced Courses and High School Honors and AP Courses, including those enrolled in AVID or the Emerging Scholars Program, regarding their experiences in such courses. The District may consider and implement others actions not otherwise described in this Agreement in an effort to increase student participation in the District’s SGEP, Middle School Advanced Courses and High School Honors and AP Courses, including race/ethnic-targeted recruitment and outreach efforts to directly encourage African-American, Hispanic and ELL students to consider participation.

  • Outreach Not less than 30 days prior to the opening of bids or the selection of contractors, the Agency-Assisted Contractor or Contractor shall:

  • STUDENT SAFETY The Parties agree that when a Student attending a College facility expresses to any College employee a suicidal intention or a threat of physical harm to others, a protocol to be agreed prior to the effective date of this MOU will be executed. The protocol will prioritize ensuring that the Student does not pose a threat to self or others. The College will prioritize transitioning management of the issue to School District, the parent / guardian of the student or the most appropriate authority or entity to address the crisis at hand. Often the College Police Department will assess the situation and coordinate that transition with its School District counterpart. School District designates College as its agent under any applicable statutory authority or parent / guardian consent to treatment for the limited purpose of this crisis-response intervention. When on the College campus, Students will follow the policies and procedures of the College to ensure the safety and well-being of the fellow classmates, faculty, staff and visitors. The Colleges will develop standard protocols for various emergency situations. To ensure safety precautions, the College enrolls all students, faculty and staff, including Students in Dual Credit programs, into emergency alert messages. These messages are sent to all groups mentioned via the College email, robocalls and text messages to the telephones listed in the system of record. Alamo Colleges District is subject to legislation requiring it to allow licensees to carry concealed handguns on its campuses effective August 1, 2017, and Students will potentially encounter license holders availing themselves of this privilege. Any notice of these facts to parents of Students will be the responsibility of the School District. Students traveling for College events will be required to sign an Alamo Colleges District General Participation Release as a condition of participation as is required of all students from each of the Colleges of the Alamo Colleges District.

  • Public Outreach The Sponsor is responsible for development and administration of a public outreach effort to ensure public awareness and involvement in the Project development and delivery process. The Sponsor shall provide a copy of the public outreach plan and all materials documenting the public outreach activities, including public notices, press releases, flyers, etc. to the Authority. The public outreach plan must accompany the first invoice for payment from Sponsor. The materials documenting the public outreach activities must accompany the final invoice for payment from Sponsor.

This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • Education and Outreach Health Education Advisory Committee The PH-MCO must develop and implement effective Member education and outreach programs that may include health education programs focusing on the leading causes of hospitalization and emergency room use, and health initiatives that target Members with Special Needs, including but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Dual Eligibles, etc. The PH-MCO must establish and maintain a Health Education Advisory Committee that includes Members and Providers of the community to advise on the health education needs of HealthChoices Members. Representation on this Committee must include, but not be limited to, women, minorities, persons with Special Needs and at least one (1) person with expertise on the medical needs of children with Special Needs. Provider representation includes physical health, behavioral health, and dental health Providers. The PH-MCO must provide the Department annually with the membership (including designation) and meeting schedule of the Health Education Advisory Committee. The PH-MCO must provide for and document coordination of health education materials, activities and programs with public health entities, particularly as they relate to public health priorities and population-based interventions that are relevant to the populations being served and that take into consideration the ability of these populations to understand and act upon health information. The PH- MCO must also work with the Department to ensure that its Health Education Advisory Committees are provided with an effective means to consult with each other and, when appropriate, coordinate efforts and resources for the benefit of the entire HealthChoices population in the HC Zone and/or populations with Special Needs. The PH-MCO must provide the Department with a written description of all planned health education activities and targeted implementation dates on an annual basis.
