SUPERVISING DENTISTS.Β Supervising dentists are considered non-instructional faculty and perform responsibilities prescribed by law for the Dental Hygiene program offered at the College. Dentists remain coded under the applicable job class/salary level related to their highest degree held so that work completed each quarter counts towards their placement in the event that they are given a regular instructional assignment. The Supervising Dentist Hourly Rate of Pay shall be $72 per hour effective July 1, 2023, and $76 per hour effective July 1, 2024. (See Appendix B (Faculty Compensation Calculations) 7.). The Supervising Dentists Hourly Rate of Pay will be adjusted annually based on Cost-of-Living-Adjustment (COLA) or other appropriation in a percentage equal to the average percentage increase provided and applied using the same defined calculation applied to faculty salaries. The work shall be assigned and recorded and paid in periods of no less than 30-minute increments. At the start of each academic year, and at any other time when the rate is adjusted, the College shall publicly post the current Supervising Dentist Hourly Rate of Pay. The College will inform all new academic employees of the Supervising Dentist Hourly Rate of Pay no later than the time their employment begins.
