Supervision of Minors. Contractor, and any subcontractors, shall comply with California Penal Code section 11105.3 and request from the Department of Justice records of all convictions or any arrest pending adjudication involving the offenses specified in Welfare and Institution Code section 15660(a) of any person who applies for employment or volunteer position with Contractor, or any subcontractor, in which he or she would have supervisory or disciplinary power over a minor under his or her care. If Contractor, or any subcontractor, is providing services at a City park, playground, recreational center or beach (separately and collectively, “Recreational Site”), Contractor shall not hire, and shall prevent its subcontractors from hiring, any person for employment or volunteer position to provide those services if that person has been convicted of any offense that was listed in former Penal Code section 11105.3 (h)(1) or 11105.3(h)(3). For events that involve minors, the customer is responsible for ensuring that all local, state and federal laws relating to minors are enforced.
B. Children are not allowed to be placed in an area without supervision by professional childcare provider. If you choose a childcare service, the children's area will be a part of the main room with walls partially closed. Rooms 111 & 112 of the DeKalb Conference Center are not intended for use for children's events.
