Taking unpaid carer’s leave. An Employee may take unpaid carer’s leave as a single continuous period of up to 2 days; or any separate periods to which the Employee and the Employer agree. An Employee cannot take unpaid carer’s leave during a particular period if the Employee could instead take paid personal/carer’s leave. When taking unpaid personal/carer’s leave, the Employee must comply with the notice and evidence requirements set out in clause 6.3.4.
