Entitlement to Unpaid Carer’s Leave. (a) An employee, including a casual employee, is entitled to 2 days of unpaid carer’s leave for each occasion (a permissible occasion) when a member of the employee’s immediate family, or a member of the employee’s household, requires care or support because of:
(i) a personal illness, or personal injury, affecting the member; or
(ii) an unexpected emergency affecting the member.
Entitlement to Unpaid Carer’s Leave. An Employee who does not have an entitlement to paid carer’s leave is entitled to two (2) days of unpaid carer’s leave for each occasion (a permissible occasion) when a member of the Employee’s Immediate Family, or a member of the Employee’s household, requires care or support because of:
a) a personal illness, or personal injury, affecting the member, or
b) an unexpected emergency affecting the member.
Entitlement to Unpaid Carer’s Leave. An Employee who does not have an entitlement to paid carer’s leave, including a casual Employee, is entitled to unpaid carer’s leave for each occasion (a permissible occasion) when a member of the Employee’s Immediate Family, or a member of the Employee’s household, requires care or support because of a personal illness, personal injury or an unexpected emergency affecting the member.
Entitlement to Unpaid Carer’s Leave. In the event an employee‘s entitlement to paid Personal/Carer‘s leave is exhausted, or where an employee has no entitlement to paid Personal/Carer‘s leave an employee will be entitled to up to two days unpaid Personal/Carer‘s leave for each occasion a member of the employee‘s immediate family or a member of the employee‘s household requires care and support because of:

17.8.1. An employee may take unpaid carer's leave for a particular permissible occasion as:
a) a single continuous period of up to 2 days; or
b) any separate periods to which the employee and EnergyAustralia NSW agree.

(b) an unexpected emergency affecting the member.
12.4.2 For Employees other than Casual Employees, access to unpaid carer’s leave is only available if the Employee has exhausted their paid personal/carer’s leave balance.
