Temporary Summer Chief Custodial Vacancies. When a vacancy arises because the Board decides to fill in for a Chief Custodian for a period exceeding two (2) calendar weeks during the summer months, the Board shall permit an employee in the custodial classification to transfer to fill the vacancy in preference to using a temporary employee as a replacement. Prior to each summer period, employees shall be invited to state their desire to be so considered and the Board will consult with such employees as required when a vacancy occurs. It is understood that employees within the particular school will receive preference before any transfers or hirings are considered.
