The Department Head or Designate and the Chairperson of the Shop Committee assesses, signs and forwards a recom- mendation to the Training and Development Department who verifies that eligibility requirements have been met. If approved by the Training and Development Department, a copy of the approved form will be forwarded to the employ- ee along with a Request for Additional Information Form showing the percentage to be paid by the TTC and request- ing submission of support documentation. It is the employ- ee’s responsibility to register for the course and pay all associated fees. If not approved, the Department Head or designate, Chair- person of the Shop Committee and employee will be provid- ed with specific details outlining why the Pre-Approval Request was denied by the Training and Development De- partment. If an employee changes positions prior to the start of the course, the course content will require re-approval.

  • Agency Head or Designee If the grievance is not resolved at Step 1, the Association may move it to Step 2 by filing the written grievance with the agency head, with a copy to the Human Resources Office, within fifteen (15) days of the Association’s receipt of the Step 1 decision.
