The formal notice of redundancy from the Vice-President (Finance & Administration) shall indicate the date the position must be vacated and shall be given to the employee at a second meeting to be held within 5 working days of the initial meeting. A copy of this formal notice shall be sent to the Union. A representative of the Union shall be present at this second meeting. The reasons for the redundancy and the plan for what will happen to the duties of the redundant position will be provided in writing to the employee and the union.
