Preconstruction Phase Services The CM/GC agrees to provide all of the Preconstruction Phase Services described below on an ongoing basis in support of, and in conformance with, the time frames described in the Request for Proposals. Commencement of the Construction Phase shall not excuse CM/GC from completion of the Preconstruction Phase Services, if such services have not been fully performed at commencement of the Construction Phase. Preconstruction Phase Services shall include CM Services performed during the Preconstruction Phase.

Training Period The training provided for in this article shall be given during the hours of work whenever possible. Any such training outside of working hours shall be considered voluntary unless at the request of the Employer, in which case time devoted to training shall be considered as time worked.
Planning Period Middle and High School teachers shall have one normal instructional period each day as preparation time or a cumulative plan time each week that would be equal to 160 minutes per four

Promotional Probationary Period For a permanent worker who changes job classification due to promotion (except as noted in Section 7.5), probation shall be for six months, unless the worker is released from the new job before this time. At the end of the second month on the new job, the worker shall receive a written evaluation of his/her performance and progress towards permanency. The worker retains permanent status in the District and is only probationary in the new job. If he/she is released from the new job during the six-month probationary period, the Director of Human Resources shall assign the worker to a position in the class in which he/she holds permanency. He/she will be reinstated as a permanent worker, and his/her seniority at the higher position shall be credited to his/her seniority in the lower class. Workers who successfully complete probation shall have their annual step date adjusted to reflect the six-month probationary period.
Planning Periods Teachers in secondary schools shall receive not less than 225 minutes of unassigned planning time on a weekly basis and shall be scheduled for one unassigned planning period per day of not less than forty-five (45) consecutive minutes. Neither this provision, nor 8.8 below will apply during times when the normal school schedule must be adjusted during emergencies; or in cases when an individual teacher has requested in writing to teach more than the usual number of periods for teachers in that subject in that school, or in the case of a teacher who volunteers for other school activities during the scheduled unassigned planning period.
