WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. The normal employee work day/work year for full-time employees will be based as follows for the following classifications:
WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. 3.2.1 The length of the workday shall be designated by the employer for each classified assignment. Each bargaining unit employee shall be assigned regular minimum number of hours per day.
WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. A. Length of School Day - The length of the normal school working day for all teaching staff will be seven (7) hours and forty (40) minutes, including any lunch and planning time. This time may be extended to include the monthly faculty meeting, department and grade level meetings, and conferences, or changes to the calendar that necessitate the work day to be extended no more than eight (8) hours.
B. The working day shall include twenty (20) minutes which will not be used as student contact time. Each teacher shall receive a daily duty free lunch period of no less than thirty (30) consecutive minutes. Each of the annual open houses shall be scheduled during the first quarter as follows: High School 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.; XxXxxxxxx 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.; Woodlands 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.; Shawnee 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. All teachers will be dismissed sixty-five (65) minutes early the day before Christmas vacation and all teachers will be dismissed seventy (70) minutes early the last scheduled student day.
C. Length of Work Year - The annual salary is based upon one hundred eighty-four
WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. A. Work Year The work year will consist of 180 days.
B. Standard Workday The standard workday for grades P-12 will not exceed seven hours and thirty minutes (7 1/2 hours), these hours include a continuous, duty free thirty (30) minute lunch. The length of workday for each building will remain in place unless modified by mutual agreement of the building staff and administration. Mutual agreement requires a majority vote of the staff. Employees may work with their principal/supervisor to schedule flexible hours to accommodate family and/or personal needs so long as: 1) there is no impact to the student day, instructional time, or program services; 2) the employee arrives at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the student day; and 3) there are no additional costs for the building or the district. The principal/supervisor has sole discretion in determining whether the flexible schedule meets the above requirements. If a flexible schedule has been approved and the principal/supervisor later determines that the flexible schedule no longer meets the above requirements, he/she may require the employee to meet the building’s regular schedule.
C. Professional Teaching Responsibilities Within the standard workday, certificated employees will use unassigned time-including the time in which children are not in actual attendance in the classroom of any employee for instructional duties such as, but not limited to, the following: the instructional program, conferring with parents, pupils and administration; studying and maintaining records; and any other instructional duties deemed appropriate by the Board. All teachers will be actively involved in planning, preparation, gathering materials, and conferencing with parents or students, and like activities.
D. Traveling Employees The Superintendent and the Association President will review traveling employees’ schedules no later than September 20. The goal of this meeting is to develop a schedule that will provide an equitable workday for traveling employees in relation to other bargaining unit members. Traveling employees will be compensated at the IRS rate for mileage driven between locations. Adequate travel time, as mutually agreed by the employee and the district, will be provided outside of the employee’s contracted duty free lunch and preparation period.

WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. A. Work Day
1. A teacher's work day shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours.
2. If the School Board decides to extend the workday beyond the seven and one-half (7 ½) hours, the Board shall negotiate the proposed change and the compensation for such extension with the Union.
WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. 17.1 WORK WEEK: The normal work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday, of eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. The workweek shall consist of five (5) consecutive workdays for all employees. The normal workweek shall be Monday through Friday. The District retains the right to establish a Tuesday through Saturday workweek providing that no employee will be required to work the Tuesday through Saturday work week for more than eighteen (18) weeks per year. The provisions of the altered workweek shall only be applicable to custodians and those maintenance employees who do not possess a valid California bus driver's license. No employee will receive a reduction in salary as a result of this paragraph. The District may, at its option, permit an employee to work a four (4) day, ten
WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. A. Full-Time Employees are those who work five (5) or more hours per day and are entitled to a 30 minute paid lunch period per day, plus normally scheduled breaks. If supervisory directions forces an employee to work through lunch or normally scheduled breaks, and these are not re-scheduled then such time shall be paid.
B. Part-Time Employees are those who work less than five (5) hours per day, daily or less than four days per week and are entitled to normally scheduled breaks. If supervisory directions forces an employee to work through normally scheduled breaks and they are not rescheduled, such time shall be paid.
C. Hours for all full time employees will be set by the immediate supervisor with the approval of the Superintendent.
D. Employees shall have the right to request to leave the work site with pay in instances where students are not in attendance, and there is no work for the employee and/or need for his/her continued presence. Approval shall be at the building principal's discretion.
A. CAFETERIA
WORK DAY/WORK YEAR. Hours of service, duty day, duty week, and duty year shall be as assigned by the School District and modified from time to time based upon the needs of the program. Preparation shall be provided consistent with ARTICLE VI, Section 2. Said time shall be provided, in accordance with the “ECFE Handbook.”
