Thursday Evenings. (a) Each Department will be responsible for providing staffing to accommodate extending services on Thursdays to 8:00 p.m. S CHEDULE “H” (cont'd) Page 2 (b) Those employees working Thursday evenings will commence their work day at 11:30 a.m. or 11:45 a.m., depending if it is the employee’s designated eight (8) hour or seven and three quarter (7¾) hour day, and end their work day at 8:00 p.m. (c) During scheduling of staff that will be working Thursday evenings, Management will provide an equitable sharing of shifts amongst those employees working a compressed work week. Employees will be required to work one (1) Thursday evening every three (3) weeks but will not be restricted from working more, should they choose to. (d) Those staff working until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings will be exempt from the payment of shift differential.

  • Monday An employee should not work more than 16 hours and must take an 8 hour break before continuing work. Therefore, an employee called in at 7:00 p.m. Sunday could work until 11:00

  • Monday morning The employee should not work more than 16 hours without an 8 hour break.

  • Monday through Friday We ask for your patience during busy periods since you may experience a higher than usual rate of busy signals and longer hold times to speak to us. We look forward to serving you.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday ‌ For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Afternoon Shift (i) Afternoon Shift is any shift where the normal ceasing time is later than 6.00 p.m. but not later than midnight. (ii) The additional loading for ordinary hours only shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the all purpose rate applying to the Employees' classification.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s Annual Leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s Annual Leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Christmas Day Melbourne Cup Day (or alternative days in regional areas);

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.
