Common use of Time Off in Lieu Clause in Contracts

Time Off in Lieu. Where overtime has been performed employees may elect to take compensatory time off in lieu of overtime pay. By mutual agreement between the employee(s) and the supervisor such time shall be arranged to suit work requirements. In no case shall time off in lieu of overtime be allowed to accumulate for longer than a period of one (1) calendar year from the time of election.
