Common use of Twelve Hour Shifts Clause in Contracts

Twelve Hour Shifts. 1) Employees on twelve-hour shifts will be paid at straight time for the first eighty (80) hours in their scheduled two (2) week shift. 2) Additional scheduled hours will be paid at time and one half (1½x) the employees’ regular hourly rate. 3) Employees working shifts on a twenty-four (24) hour continuous operation shall receive a twenty (20) minute paid lunch break during their normal work day and four (4) paid breaks each of fifteen (15) minutes duration. Two (2) breaks will occur before lunch and two (2) breaks will occur after lunch.
