Uniform and Equipment Classification. Below is a list of approved uniform items. Items indicated as “Initial Issue” are issued to the Officer upon employment or upon addition of item to initial issue list. Items marked indicated as “Allowance” may be purchased or replaced with the Officer’s uniform allowance. Items indicated as “Special Assignment” are issued to the Officer upon assignment to a special assignment or special skills assignment.
