Long term absence shall mean any absence in excess of six (6) months; and (m) unless already provided, a separate listing of all Casual Employees including the name of the Employee and date of hire. 4.04 The dues structure of the Union shall be on a percentage basis and the Union shall give not less than thirty (30) days notice of any change in the rate at which dues are to be deducted. Any change in the amount of deductions shall be implemented by the Employer at the next possible pay period following expiry of the notice period. 4.05 Where an accounting adjustment is necessary to correct an over or under payment of dues, it shall be effected in the succeeding month. 4.06 The Employer shall indicate the dues deducted and enter the amount on the T-4 slip supplied to the Employee.

Where existing systems currently allow such list will also include site. 4.09 The Employer shall provide to the Union at one email address, on a quarterly basis, a listing of Employees who terminated from the Employer in the previous quarter, inclusive of the Employee name and Employee number. 4.10 For the purpose of conducting a ratification vote, the Employer shall provide a list of all current Employees, along with the mailing address on file, to the Union at one email address, within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date when a tentative agreement has been reached by the Parties. 4.11 The Employer agrees to allow an AUPE binder/clipboard on each unit, program or office where patient/resident/client care is provided. The Employer reserves the right to require that material damaging to the Employer be removed.

Section 3.02. The Union will, on such terms and conditions as determined are generally applicable to other members accept into membership all employees in the bargaining unit. Section 3.03. All present, new and rehired employees who are in bargaining unit positions, upon completion of the above stated time period shall, as a condition of employment, tender the initiation fees and standard dues uniformly required as a condition of acquiring and retaining membership in the Union, except as provided for in Section 3.01(b) above. It is agreed that the Union shall notify the Company in writing when any bargaining unit employee has become delinquent in tendering either the standard dues or initiation fees uniformly required as provided Section 3.04. The Company agrees to deduct all such dues and fees, or their equivalent from the pay of each employee who provides to the Union a properly executed written document authorizing the Company to make such deductions. Deductions will commence in the month following the date union membership or equivalent fee payment is required as set forth above, and the Company will continue to make such deductions each pay period while the authorization remains in effect. The sums so collected shall be paid by the Company to the Financial Secretary of the Union. The Union acknowledges shall notify the Company in writing [identify person and means of communication] if any employee fails to provide the Union with a written authorization for dues deductions on or before the date dues deductions are to commence. The Union further shall notify the Company of any withdrawal, cancellation, revocation or modification to any written authorization by any employee. The Union also shall notify the Company in writing of any changes in said fees and/or dues, or their equivalent. In no case shall the Company collect and/or pay over to the Union any sums in excess of those authorized by an employee. Section 3.05. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein or in any such written authorization, the Company may, in its discretion, cease to deduct and pay over in accordance with any such written authorization from and after the date on which the grantor of such authorization ceases to occupy a position included in the bargaining unit. Should the Employer change, modify or remove the policy, the Union will be notified forthwith. Harassment includes but is not limited to bullying, sexual harassment and workplace violence. 6.05 When an incident of workplace harassment or discrimination is alleged, it shall be investigated in accordance with the Employer policy in an objective, timely and sensitive manner. 6.06 The Manager, in consultation with the Human Resource representative, shall ensure that the complainant and respondent are informed in writing of the outcome of the harassment or discrimination investigation. 6.07 Nothing in this Article prevent an Employee from filing a grievance or a complaint under the Alberta Human Rights Act.

The remittance shall be accompanied by a listing of the names of Employees from whom deductions were made and subject to the Employer’s payroll system being able to do so, the list specifying the followingwill also include: (a) the Employee's namedate of hire; (b) mailing address; (c) classificationphone number; (d) site(s)classification; (e) Employee status; work location (Regular Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, CasualCentre/ Department); (f) Basic Rate of Payemployment designation; (g) the amount hourly rate of deduction for each Employeepay; (h) the Employee's gross payamount of dues deducted for each employee; (i) personal phone numbergross earnings; (j) Employee number;employees on Long Term Disability (where applicable); and (k) starting date;Employee number. Such list shall include newly hired Employees. (la) Employees on long term absence status where applicable. Long term absence shall mean any absence in excess of six (6) months; and (m) unless already provided, a separate listing of all Casual Employees including the name of the Employee and date of hire. 4.04 The dues structure A representative of the Union shall have the right to make a presentation of up to forty-five (45) minutes at the orientation of new Employees with respect to the structure of the Local, as well as the rights, responsibilities and benefits under the Collective Agreement; provided, however, that attendance at the presentation shall not be on compulsory, provided further, that a percentage basis and representative of the Employer may be present at such presentation. (b) In the event that an orientation is postponed or a representative of the Union is unavailable for an orientation, a representative of the Union shall give not less than thirty have the right to make a presentation of up to forty-five (3045) days notice of any change in the rate at which dues are to be deducted. Such list shall include the Employee’s name, classification, department, hire date, seniority date, FTE, and employment status. 4.06 4.09 The Employer shall provide to the Union at one email address, on a quarterly basis, a listing of Employees who terminated from the Employer in the previous quarter, inclusive of the Employee name and Employee ID number. 4.10 The Employer shall indicate the dues deducted and enter the amount on the T-4 slip slips supplied to the Employee. 4.11 The Employer shall deduct from each Employee two ($0.02) cents per hour for the purposes of the Education Fund as a condition of employment. A cheque for such amount shall be forwarded to the “Education Fund” at the United Steelworkers Local 1-207 Office, accompanied by a list indicating the amount, total and names of Employees from whom deductions have been made. A copy of the list shall be provided to the Union Chairperson. 4.12 The Union shall be permitted to distribute the Union Check-Off Authorization Form to new hires within the bargaining unit during the Union presentation at new hire Orientation.
