UNION RECOGNITION AND DUES DEDUCTION. 1. a. The Pittsburgh Board of Public Education, hereinafter sometimes referred to as the “Board,” pursuant to applicable provisions of the “Pennsylvania Public Employee Relations Act of 1970,” recognizes the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, Local 400, American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO, hereinafter referred to as the “Federation” or “Union,” as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all professional personnel in those employment categories included in the May 23, 1968, and May 20, 1970, collective bargaining elections, as well as any employment categories added per the terms of this or any previous Agreement, all of whom are hereinafter referred to as “teacher” or “teachers.”

The Pittsburgh Board of Public Education (hereinafter sometimes referred to as the “Board”), pursuant to appli- cable provisions of the “Pennsylvania Public Employe Relations Act of 1970” (Act 195), the October 28-29, 1971, paraprofessional election conducted thereunder, and the resulting Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board certification, recognizes the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, Local 400, American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO (hereinafter sometimes referred to as the “Federation” or the “Union”), as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all paraprofessional person- nel in those job classifications included in the above- specified election and certifications (all of whom are hereinafter sometimes referred to as “paraprofessional” or “paraprofessionals”). Said unit also to include any successor job classifications which may occur from with- in the paraprofessional employee unit. The job classifica- tions comprising the total representation unit are set forth in Article 40, Paraprofessional Salary Schedule.

The Pittsburgh Board of Public Education (hereinafter some- times referred to as the “Board”), pursuant to applicable provi- sions of the “Pennsylvania Public Employe Relations Act of 1970” (Act 195), the June 28, 1973, technical-clerical election conducted thereunder, and the resulting Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board certification, recognizes the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, Local 400, American Federation of Teachers. AFL-CIO (hereinafter sometimes referred to as the “Federation” or the “Union”), as the sole and exclusive bargain- ing representative for all technical-clerical personnel in those job classifications included in the above-specified election and certifications (all of whom are hereinafter sometimes referred to as the “technical-clerical unit” or “technical-clerical employ- ees”), said unit shall also include any successor job classifica- tions including “trainee” positions in accordance with the pro- visions of Act 195 of 1970. Unit I is a subdivision of the employer unit comprised of all professional employees in the educational-related fields and Unit II is a subdivision of the employer unit comprised of all nonprofessional employees in the educational-related fields. All job classifications are set forth in Article 24, Salary Schedule.

  • UNION RECOGNITION The Employer recognizes the Union as the exclusive bargaining agent for all employees for whom the Union has been certified.

  • UNION RECOGNITION AND SECURITY 3.1 The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole bargaining authority for all employees covered by this Agreement and coming within the jurisdiction of the Union. The Union recognizes that the Association is the sole bargaining authority for all subcontractors of the Employer covered by this Agreement and coming within the jurisdiction of the Union.

  • Union Recognition and Rights The Union agrees that any activities relevant to the administration of the Collective Agreement or other Union activities, which must be conducted during working hours, will be carried out in a professional manner with primary consideration to instructional duties. Where the College feels that such activities are interfering inappropriately with instructional duties, the Parties agree to meet and resolve the matter.

  • Association Recognition The Board hereby recognizes the Association as the exclusive representative for collective gaining with respect to wages, hours, fringe benefits, and other conditions of employment for all employees in the appropriate unit.

  • ARTICLE I - RECOGNITION 11 This agreement is applicable for employees as defined in Certificate Number 4 granted by the Public 12 Employees Relations Commission on February 14, 1975, and issued to the Okaloosa County Education 13 Association:

  • On Reconciliation and Settlement If the year-end reconciliation and settlement process demonstrates that the HSP received Funding in excess of its confirmed funds, the LHIN will require the repayment of the excess Funding.

  • Recognition and Negotiation 3.01 The Division recognizes the Canadian Union of Public Employees and its Local 2348 as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all employees of the Division set forth in the Manitoba Labour Board Certificate No. MLB 5017 dated the 4th day of February, 1994, and for those employees for whom the Division and the Union from time to time mutually agree upon.

  • DEDUCTION OF UNION FEES The employer shall deduct union fees from the wages and salaries of members of the union when authorised in writing by members. The employer will forward the monies with the names and the individual amounts deducted to the union.

  • DEDUCTION OF UNION DUES The Employer will, as a condition of employment, deduct an amount equal to membership dues from the biweekly pay of all employees in the bargaining unit.
