- Unpaid Leave for Maternity Reasons. Maternity leaves granted in compliance with WAC 162-30 for sickness or disability may extend up to sixty (60) days after the birth of the infant, and if for more than sixty (60) days, shall require filing a physician’s certificate stating the need for additional leave due to said sickness or disability, unless the Prosecuting Attorney agrees in writing to a longer period of unpaid leave.
