Common use of Unpaid Personal Leaves Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Personal Leaves. (a) Effective upon the completion of the probationary period, and subject to operational requirements, Employees will be granted 2 days off without pay and no loss of benefits, each calendar year, upon the Employee’s request with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice. (b) Subject to the Department’s work requirements, an unpaid leave of absence, up to a maximum of 3 months duration, may be granted. The Employee will not participate in the Pension Plan for the duration of this leave.

(a) Effective upon the completion of the probationary period, Full-Time Employees in Classifications 2 and subject to operational requirements, 3 and Grandparented Employees will be granted 2 days 1 day off without pay and no loss of benefits, each calendar year, upon the Employee’s request with a minimum of 2 weeks’ weeks notice. (b) Subject to the Department’s work requirements, an unpaid leave of absence, up to a maximum of 3 months duration, may be granted. The Employee will not participate in the Pension Plan for the duration of this leave.
