Unpaid Personal Leaves. (a) Effective upon the completion of the probationary period, and subject to operational requirements, Employees will be granted 2 days off without pay and no loss of benefits, each calendar year, upon the Employee’s request with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice. (b) Subject to the Department’s work requirements, an unpaid leave of absence, up to a maximum of 3 months duration, may be granted. The Employee will not participate in the Pension Plan for the duration of this leave.

(b) Subject to the Department’s work requirements, an unpaid leave of absence, up to a maximum of 3 months duration, may be granted. The Employee will not participate in the Pension Plan for the duration of this leave.
