Use of PTO for Vacation. PTO shall be utilized for any vacation time a nurse 2 takes, as scheduled by mutual agreement. PTO times will be established on a first- 3 come-first-served basis by date of application. In the event two or more nurses request 4 the same time and make a request on the same calendar date and only one nurse can 5 be granted the request, the most senior nurse will be granted the PTO time requested.

A nurse shall be free to utilize the nurse’s PTO 17 as it best fits the nurse’s own personal needs and as scheduled by mutual agreement. 18 Nurses wishing time off shall present their requests no later than the 1st of the month 19 preceding the month of the requested time off. PTO times will be established on a first- 20 come-first-served basis by date of application. In the event two or more nurses request 21 the same time and make a request on the same calendar date and only one nurse can 22 be granted the request, the most senior nurse will be granted the PTO time requested.
