Common use of Vacation Flexibility Clause in Contracts

Vacation Flexibility. Other than in the first (1st) incomplete year, as of January 1st, each employee shall have one (1) full calendar year’s entitlement available to her/him to take any time within that calendar year, subject to Article 27.03. The time of vacation is to be determined by mutual agreement between the Department and the individual employee. Provided the employee and her/his supervisor have attempted to resolve the dispute before a grievance is filed, grievances under this Article shall begin at Step 2 of the grievance procedure.
