Common use of Vacation Flexibility Clause in Contracts

Vacation Flexibility. The time of vacation is to be determined by mutual agreement between the employee and the service unit, subject to operational requirements. A supervisor or manager will not unreasonably refuse vacation leave requested by an employee, subject to operational requirements. Employees will take at least one-half of their total (annual plus accumulated) vacation balance in a block of consecutive days, extenuating circumstances excepted.
