Vacation Signup a. The annual vacation sign-up will be held during the Departmental sign-up in the month of September each year. The process will consist of the following steps to ensure that employees are aware of the process and proper notification is provided. One month prior to the September (August 1st) sign-up, department employees will be notified of the upcoming vacation sign-up to be conducted by seniority in September of each year for the following year. The sign-ups will be completed and posted for the following year no later than October 1st. Employees will be allowed to schedule all of their earned vacation during their scheduled sign up time. Vacation requests for less than one week are done on a first come first serve basis and must be submitted via the current scheduling process.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Sick Leave While on Vacation An employee who while on vacation is incapacitated for one (1) or more days due to personal illness or injury may charge such days to accrued sick leave. In such event, the employee promptly shall notify his department, and upon return to duty shall substantiate the need for, and use of, sick leave.

  • SECTION 4 - VACATION 4.1 Employee shall be entitled to accrue and take vacation leave in accordance with the policy applicable to employees of Manitoba.

  • VACATIONS 13.01 All employees who are regularly scheduled seventy-five (75) hours on a bi- weekly basis shall receive vacations with pay based on length of full-time continuous service as follows:

Vacation periods shall be fixed by the Employer to suit the requirements of his business, but as far as possible and practicable, vacations will be given during the summer months, and for employees with school-age children, during the school vacations. Vacation periods shall be unbroken unless by mutual consent between Employer and employee, or where it is impractical. Grievances relating to this Section shall be subject to the Adjustment and Arbitration Procedure in this Agreement.

  • Recall from Vacation The Employer will make every reasonable effort not to recall an Employee to duty after she has proceeded on vacation leave or to cancel vacation once it has been approved.

  • Vacation Scheduling (a) With the exception of authorized vacation carryover under Clause 18.6, the scheduling and completion of vacations shall be on a calendar-year basis.

  • Vacation Letters Employees who will be absent from duty on vacation, for more than seven (7) calendar days will be entitled to file a letter of preference with their supervisor indicating positions they would accept should a vacancy occur while they are absent. Such letter(s) of preference will only be valid for the duration of the vacation.
